Representation Theory:
I have represented myself quite closely to my true self, using ideas such as Ariana Grande, as well as using other ideas such as Wicked. People who see this collage will see and assume that I enjoy watching films, as well as playing other games like Tomodachi Life and Genshin Impact. I have also relied on the use of denotations and connotations so that people assume that certain images used actually mean something else. (e.g. the director's chair connoting a career in film)
Reception Theory:
- Preferred Reading: For the preferred reading, people will like the ideas I have put down, such as enjoying Ariana Grande's music, liking companies such as Disney or Universal, and liking theme parks (represented by the rollercoaster track).
- Negotiated Reading: For the negotiated reading, there are certain images I have used that may link to troubles people have with certain topics. For example, some people may have problems with the Ravenclaw symbol I have used, as it links to J.K. Rowling, who they have problems with, but they may still like the idea of Harry Potter, whilst disliking the author of the books.
- Oppositional Reading: For the oppositional reading, some people may completely hate some of my own likes. they may completely hate the idea of Harry Potter due to its links to J.K. Rowling, and they may also hate Disney due to the type of company it has become over the years.
